Sites

Purpose

A site represents a physical location of the company: an office, a sales branch, a warehouse or a production workshop. It is the geographical anchor of the activity.

Once declared, sites populate the dropdowns of many screens — orders, goods receipts, stock movements, machines, routings, employees — to state where the operation takes place. Each site also holds its own stock locations.

Who can access this module?

The module is visible to accounts holding the Technical data right, and to every account flagged as an administrator.

Access

  • Menu: Technical data → Sites
  • Address: /centres
  • Screen title: Centres

The site list

The top bar is the same as on the other screens: ☰ side menu, 🏠 home, Filtrer… field, name of the signed-in account, language selector and account menu. The filter runs half a second after the last keystroke.

The table shows the workspace sites, sorted by name:

ColumnContents
CentreThe site name.
AdministratifOui / Non badge — the site is an administrative office.
CommercialeOui / Non badge — the site is a sales branch.
MagasinOui / Non badge — the site is a warehouse or store.
ProductionOui / Non badge — the site is a production workshop.
Action✏️ Edit and 📦 Stock locations.

Clicking a row highlights it; clicking again clears the selection.

No deletion, no pagination

This screen offers no delete action: once created, a site cannot be removed from the interface. It also shows the first 50 sites in the workspace, with no pagination controls — beyond that, use the filter.

Creating a site

  1. Click the ➕ button at the top left of the table. The Ajouter nouveau centre window opens.
  2. Enter the site Nom. This is the only required field.
  3. Under Type de centre, tick the roles of the site — several boxes can be ticked at once.
  4. Click Enregistrer at the bottom of the window.

The green message « Centre créé avec succès » confirms the save, the window closes and the list reloads.

On creation, the "administrative" and "sales" types are swapped

In the current version, a site saved as a Bureau administratif shows up as an Agence commerciale in the list, and the other way round. The Magasin and Production types are not affected.

Workaround: right after creating it, reopen the record with ✏️ Edit, tick the two boxes correctly and save. Editing does store the right values.

Naming a site

The name appears as-is in every dropdown in the application. Prefer a short, recognisable name — Siège Casablanca, Agence Rabat, Dépôt Aïn Sebaâ — since it will be what identifies the site on documents.

The site types

A site can combine several roles. The table below states what each box actually controls in the application today.

BoxMeaningCurrent effect
Bureau administratifSite with an administrative role.Describes the site; shown in the Administratif column.
Agence commercialeSales outlet or branch.Describes the site; shown in the Commerciale column.
Magasin ou dépôtStorage site.Describes the site; shown in the Magasin column.
Atelier de productionManufacturing site.Actually filters the lists: only these sites are offered in Machines, Routings and Manufacturing orders.
Only the "production" type filters anything

The sales and stock screens — purchase and sales orders, goods receipts, invoices, stock movements, stocktaking — offer all the sites in the workspace, regardless of the other three boxes. Those boxes document the role of the site; they do not restrict the choices in this version.

Editing a site

  1. On the relevant row, click the green ✏️ Edit icon.
  2. The Modifier un centre window opens with the name and boxes already set.
  3. Adjust what needs adjusting, then click Enregistrer.

The message « Centre modifié avec succès » confirms the save.

Renaming a site

The site name can still be changed after creation. Since it serves as the label in the dropdowns of other screens, rename it carefully: the reference changes everywhere at once.

The stock locations of a site

A stock location is a storage area inside a site. A single warehouse can therefore separate raw materials, work in progress and finished goods.

Click the blue 📦 Stock locations icon on the relevant row: the Liste de Dépôts du centre window opens and lists the existing locations with their identifier, name and type.

Creating a stock location

  1. In the locations window, click Nouveau.
  2. Enter the Désignation of the location.
  3. Choose its Type from the dropdown.
  4. Click Enregistrer, or Annuler to back out.

The location types

TypeUse
Produits finisItems ready to be sold or shipped.
Produits semi-finisItems awaiting a further processing step.
Matière premièreRaw materials used in manufacturing.
ComposantsParts assembled into a product.
EncoursItems committed to a manufacturing order.
Pièce de rechangeParts kept for maintenance.
EmbalagePackaging supplies.
AtelierStock held at the production line.

A ninth label, Non identifié, may appear in the list for older locations, but it is not offered when creating one.

Stock locations cannot be edited from this window

The window lets you view locations and add new ones. It offers neither editing nor deletion. The Sélectionner button on each row does nothing in this version.

Create the locations before entering stock

Locations feed the Stock movements and transfer screens. Declare them when you create the site: it is simpler than reworking movements that have already been entered.

Known limitations in this version

  • On creation, the Bureau administratif and Agence commerciale types are saved the wrong way round (see the warning above).
  • No site can be deleted from the interface.
  • The list is limited to the first 50 sites, with no pagination.
  • The sort arrows in the column headers are decorative; the list is always sorted by name.
  • The Enregistrer button stays active even when the name is missing: the error only appears after clicking.
  • In the locations window, the Sélectionner button is inactive, and a location can neither be edited nor deleted.
