Application configuration
Purpose
This screen sets how the application behaves across your whole workspace: when stock is decremented, whether stock may go negative, how credit notes are numbered, what text appears at the bottom of quotations… It also manages the list of languages in which articles can be named.
These settings are global: they apply to every user of the workspace, not to the signed-in account.
The module is visible to accounts holding the Technical data right, and to every account flagged as an administrator.
Access
- Menu: Technical data → Application configuration
- Address:
/configuration-application - Screen title: Configuration de l'application
The screen
The screen reads top to bottom in two parts:
- a settings form, closed by an Enregistrer button;
- a Langues supportées par les articles section, managed independently, with its own Ajouter button.
There is no list and no search: a single configuration exists per workspace.
The settings
The Applied column states whether the setting produces a visible effect in the web application today.
Stock
| Setting | Effect | Applied |
|---|---|---|
| Autoriser stock négatif | Allows stock to be released beyond the available quantity. Unticked, the application blocks the operation. | ✔ |
| Sortie de stock | Determines when stock is decremented: Transformation commande au BL (when the delivery note is issued) or Transformation BL à Facture (at invoicing). | ✔ |
This is the most structural setting on the screen. Changing it while documents are being processed can shift movements, or even count them twice. Choose it when the workspace is opened and only revisit it knowingly, ideally when no delivery note is awaiting invoicing.
Invoicing
| Setting | Effect | Applied |
|---|---|---|
| Numérotation des avoirs | Numérotation des factures: credit notes follow the same series as invoices. Numérotation propre: credit notes have their own series. | ✔ |
Quotations
| Setting | Effect | Applied |
|---|---|---|
| Texte de remerciment sur les devis | The text carried at the bottom of quotations and sales documents. | ✔ |
| Vérifier automatiquement le dernier prix | Compare the price entered with the last price charged to that customer. | ✖ |
| TVA par défaut | The VAT rate offered by default. | ✖ |
| Durée de validité de devis | The number of validity units of a quotation. | ✖ |
| Unité validité devis | The matching unit: Jour, Semaine, Mois or Année. | ✖ |
Production
| Setting | Effect | Applied |
|---|---|---|
| Autoriser pointage OF cloturé | Allows tasks to be booked on a manufacturing order that is already closed. | ✖ |
| Création d'OF lors de planification | Creates the manufacturing order automatically at planning time. | ✖ |
| Supprimer rendez-vous avec OF | Deletes the linked appointment when the manufacturing order is deleted. | ✖ |
The settings marked ✖ are entered and kept normally, but no screen in the web application reads them in this version. Specifically:
- the default VAT is not applied to new lines;
- the validity period is not carried onto quotations;
- the last-price check never triggers;
- the three production settings do not change how manufacturing orders behave.
Fill them in if you want to record the intended business rule, but do not rely on them: apply those rules manually in the meantime. These values may also be used on the server side — check with support before drawing conclusions.
Saving the settings
- Adjust the boxes and fields concerned.
- Click Enregistrer, below the form.
The green message « Configuration enregistrée avec succès » appears at the top of the screen.
This screen shares the saving mechanism of Company details, with the same two pitfalls.
The success message is unconditional: it appears on every click, even when nothing was sent or the server refused. It is not proof that anything was saved.
Only settings already present in the configuration are updated. If an entry has never been initialised in your workspace, the value you type is not created and disappears when the screen reloads.
The habit to adopt: after saving, leave the screen and come back to it. Anything that has vanished was not saved; ask support to initialise the missing entries.
The languages supported by articles
This section, at the bottom of the screen, defines the languages in which an article can be given a name. It serves two purposes:
- entering the multilingual names of an article;
- choosing the printing language of a quotation, invoice or credit note in the print template windows.
The table shows each language's Nom and Initiales. When no language is defined, it displays Aucune langue configurée.
The 🌐 selector in the top bar changes the language of the screens (FR, EN, ES, AR) and is not set here. This section only concerns the language of article names and of printed documents.
Adding a language
- Click Ajouter, to the right of the section title.
- Enter the Nom de la langue — Anglais, for example.
- Enter the Initiales, 5 characters at most — EN, for example.
- Click Enregistrer.
The message « Langue ajoutée avec succès » confirms the addition and the table refreshes.
Both fields are required: the message « Le nom et les initiales sont obligatoires » appears if either is missing, and the window stays open.
Editing a language
Click the ✏️ icon on the row, correct the name or the initials, then Enregistrer. The message « Langue modifiée avec succès » confirms the operation.
Deleting a language
Click the 🗑️ icon on the row. The confirmation « Voulez-vous vraiment supprimer cette langue ? », followed by the language name, appears. Confirm with Supprimer.
Deleting a language removes the matching column from article name entry. Make sure no document still needs to be printed in that language.
Messages and troubleshooting
| Situation | Message | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Clicking Enregistrer (settings) | Configuration enregistrée avec succès | Systematic message: reload the screen to check. |
| Language added, edited or deleted | Langue ajoutée / modifiée / supprimée avec succès | — |
| Name or initials missing | Le nom et les initiales sont obligatoires | Fill in both fields. |
| Server-side failure on a language | Échec de l'ajout de la langue / Échec de la modification | Try again; contact support if the problem persists. |
| A setting disappeared after reloading | No message | The entry does not exist in the configuration yet: contact support. |
| A setting you entered produces no effect | — | Check the Applied column of the tables above. |
| The session has expired | Automatic return to the sign-in screen | Sign in again and re-enter the data. |
Known limitations in this version
- Seven settings out of eleven are read by no screen of the web application: default VAT, quotation validity period and unit, last-price check, and the three production settings.
- The message « Configuration enregistrée avec succès » appears even when nothing was saved.
- An entry missing from the configuration cannot be created from this screen: what you type is silently lost.
- The Unité validité devis dropdown has an empty first option, before Jour, which is best not selected.
- No value is validated: the default VAT and the validity period accept free text.
- The Texte de remerciment label contains a spelling mistake.
