Users
Purpose
The Users module manages the access accounts to your NervaGest workspace. This is where the administrator creates an account for each person who needs to use the application, assigns them a profile — which determines the modules they will be able to reach — and enables or disables their access.
Each row in the list is a person who can sign in with an Identifiant, the company's Espace code and a password. See Signing in.
The module is visible to accounts holding the Technical data right, and to every account flagged as an administrator.
Access
- Menu: Technical data → Users
- Address:
/utilisateurs - Screen title: Utilisateurs
Overview of the screen
The screen has three areas.
The top bar
| Item | Role |
|---|---|
| ☰ | Opens or closes the side menu. |
| 🏠 | Returns to the home page. |
| Filtrer… | Searches the user list. |
| First and last name | Shows the account currently signed in. |
| 🌐 + language code | Changes the interface language (FR, EN, ES, AR). |
| 👤 | Opens the account menu: Votre compte or Déconnexion. |
The user list
The central table shows the workspace accounts, 50 per page.
| Column | Contents |
|---|---|
| Login | The account's sign-in name. |
| Etat | A switch showing whether the account is active. |
| Nom | The last name. |
| Prénom | The first name. |
| Fonction | The job title. |
| Centre | The site the person belongs to. |
| Action | The ✏️ Edit and 🗑️ Delete buttons. |
Clicking a row highlights it; clicking again clears the selection.
In the current version, the value shown under Fonction is in fact the site, and the one shown under Centre is the job title. Bear this in mind when reading the table, until it is fixed.
The Fonction and Centre columns are not entered from this module: they come from the person's detailed record, managed in Payroll management → Employees.
Pagination
The same controls appear above and below the table:
| Button | Effect |
|---|---|
| ⏮ | Back to the first page. |
| ◀ | Previous page. |
| 1 2 3 … | Jumps straight to the chosen page. At most five numbers are shown, with the current page centred where possible. |
| ▶ | Next page. |
| ⏭ | Jumps to the last page. |
The number of pages is worked out from the total number of accounts in the workspace. Every page change reloads the list from the server; a « Chargement en cours… » message is shown meanwhile.
Finding a user
Type your search term in the Filtrer… field of the top bar. The search runs automatically half a second after the last keystroke, and the list goes back to page 1.
The filter is applied by the server across all accounts, not only the page on display: there is no need to page through the list before searching.
Clear the field to get the full list back.
Creating a user
-
Click the ➕ button at the top left of the table. The Ajouter nouveau utilisateur window opens.
-
Fill in the five fields:
Field Description Prénom The person's first name. Nom Their last name. Identifiant The login they will type when signing in. It must be unique within the workspace. Mot de passe Their initial password. Profile The rights profile to assign, chosen from the dropdown. All five fields are required: the Soumettre button stays disabled while any of them is empty.
-
Click Soumettre.
On success, the green message « Utilisateur créé avec succès » appears at the top of the screen, the window closes and the list reloads.
No complexity check is applied here, but the application's policy requires at least 8 characters, one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter and one digit. Apply it from the start: it is the rule the person will have to meet if they reset their own password later. See Managing your password.
The Profile dropdown offers the profiles already defined in the workspace. If the one you want is missing, create it first in Profiles.
Editing a user
- On the relevant row, click the green ✏️ Edit icon.
- The Modifier un utilisateur window opens with the existing details.
- Change what needs changing, then click Soumettre.
The message « Utilisateur modifié avec succès » confirms the save.
Three things to know:
- The Mot de passe field shows a placeholder value unrelated to the real password. Leave it as it is to keep the existing password.
- Replace it with a new value to change the person's password: this is what to do when a user can no longer sign in and cannot use Mot de passe oublié ?.
- The Identifiant shown cannot in practice be changed: only the first name, last name and profile are actually saved. To change a login, create a new account and disable the old one.
Rights are computed when the session opens. Someone who is signed in at the time of the change keeps their old rights until they sign in again.
Enabling or disabling an account
The switch in the Etat column shows whether the account is active.
- On: the account is in service.
- Off: the account is out of service.
The switch is saved immediately, with no confirmation and no save button, and the list reloads straight away.
For a colleague leaving the company or away for a long period, disable their account rather than deleting it: the record stays available and access can be restored with a single click.
Deleting a user
- On the relevant row, click the red 🗑️ Delete icon.
- The confirmation prompt « Êtes-vous sûr de vouloir supprimer cet utilisateur ? » appears.
- Choose Annuler to back out, or Supprimer to confirm.
The list reloads once the deletion has gone through.
Deleting removes the account from the workspace. If you only want to prevent access, use the Etat switch instead.
Messages and troubleshooting
| Situation | Message | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The login already exists in the workspace | Utilisateur en double, on a red background in the window header | Choose another login. |
| Error while saving | Erreur in the window header | Close the window, reload the list and try again; contact support if the problem persists. |
| The session expired while working | Automatic return to the sign-in screen | Sign in again, then redo the operation. Anything unsaved in the open window is lost. |
| The Soumettre button stays greyed out | — | One of the five required fields is empty, profile included. |
| The profile you want is not listed | — | Create it first in Profiles. |
Known limitations in this version
- The sort arrows in the column headers are decorative: the list always follows the internal account order. Use the filter to find a record.
- The Fonction and Centre columns show their values the wrong way round.
- Changing the Identifiant from the edit window is not saved.
- No complexity check is applied to the password typed in this window.
