Production launches / MOs
Purpose
A launch — or manufacturing order — sets production going: it states which article to make, in what quantity, in which workshop, following which routing and for what date.
It is the culmination of the production chain: the technical data prepared upstream — bill of materials, routing, operations, machines — come together here to launch a real manufacturing run, which will consume components and raise requirements.

The launch list
The top bar contains ☰ side menu, 🏠 home, the Filtrer… field, the name of the signed-in account, the language selector and the account menu.
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| Ref. Art | The reference of the article to produce. |
| Des. Art. | Its designation. |
| Qté. lancée | The quantity put into manufacturing. |
| Atelier | The production centre concerned. |
| Date livraison | The delivery date expected. |
| Etat | How far the manufacturing order has progressed. |
| Type de lancement | Par produit or Par matière première. |
| Action | ✏️ Editer and 🗑️ Supprimer. |
The list shows 50 launches per page, with the pagination controls.
The six states of a manufacturing order
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| En attente | The order is created but nothing has started. |
| En préparation | Resources and components are being gathered. |
| Lancé | Manufacturing is under way in the workshop. |
| Bloqué | Manufacturing is stopped by an obstacle — shortage, breakdown, non-conformity. |
| Suspendu | Manufacturing is put on hold by decision. |
| Terminé | Manufacturing is complete. Final state. |
The permitted transitions
The application controls state changes: from a given state, only certain following states are offered in the dropdown.
En attente ──► En préparation ──► Lancé ──┬──► Terminé (final)
▲ │ │
└───────────────┘ ├──► Bloqué ⇄ Suspendu
└──► Suspendu ⇄ Bloqué
| From | To |
|---|---|
| En attente | En préparation |
| En préparation | Lancé, or back to En attente |
| Lancé | Bloqué, Suspendu or Terminé |
| Bloqué | Lancé or Suspendu |
| Suspendu | Lancé or Bloqué |
| Terminé | none — the state is final |
No transition leaves this state: an order marked as finished can never go back into production. Only move it to Terminé once manufacturing is genuinely complete and checked.
Bloqué signals an obstacle suffered — a component shortage, a machine breakdown. Suspendu reflects a decision — priority given to another order, a customer postponement. The distinction has no automatic effect in the application, but it makes the workshop dashboard readable.
Creating a launch
Click the ➕ button at the top left of the table: the Ajouter Lancement window opens.
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Numéro du lancement | — | Allocated automatically. Not editable. |
| Type | ✔ | Par produit or Par matière première. |
| Référence article | ✔ | The article to produce. |
| Centre | ✔ | The production centre. |
| Atelier | ✔ | The Atelier type warehouse of the centre chosen. |
| Dépôt des encours | ✔ | The Encours type warehouse of the centre chosen. |
| Gamme opératoire | ✔ | The routing to apply. |
| Quantité à produire | ✔ | The quantity to manufacture. |
| Date de livraison | ✔ | The date expected. |
| État | ✔ | The initial state, En attente by default. |
| Observation | — | A free comment. |
Every field marked ✔ is required: the Enregistrer button stays inactive as long as one of them is missing.
The order of entry matters
The fields condition one another. Follow this order:
- Référence article — entering it triggers the article lookup, then loads the routings available for that article. The message « Aucun article trouvé » signals an unknown reference.
- Centre — choosing it loads the centre's warehouses, broken down by type.
- Atelier and Dépôt des encours — the lists then only offer warehouses of the right type.
- Gamme opératoire — among those attached to the article.
- The rest: quantity, date, state, observation.
The Atelier list only offers warehouses of the Atelier type, and Dépôt des encours only those of the Encours type. If either stays empty, the centre chosen has no warehouse of the matching type: create it from Sites, Dépots du centre button.
Routings are filtered by article. If the list is empty, no operation routing is attached to a bill of materials for that article: create one first.
As for machines and routings, the Centre list only keeps the centres whose Atelier de production box is ticked.
Editing a launch
On the row concerned, click the green ✏️ Editer icon: the Modifier Lancement window opens with the saved values.
This is where progress is steered: the État list only offers the current state and the transitions permitted from it.
Nothing prevents the quantity, the routing or the workshop of an order already Lancé from being changed. The components already consumed and the requirements already raised are not recalculated: do it knowingly, and warn the workshop.
Deleting a launch
- On the row concerned, click the red 🗑️ Supprimer icon.
- The confirmation request « Êtes-vous sûr de vouloir supprimer ce Lancement / OF ? » appears.
- Choose Annuler to give up, or Supprimer to confirm.
If the order has already produced movements, the server may refuse the deletion. No message is displayed and the row stays in the table. Always check afterwards that it has indeed disappeared.
For an abandoned order that cannot be deleted, move it to Suspendu and give the reason in the Observation.
Tracking the shortfalls
Once the order has been launched, the missing components come up in Sales management → Requirements, with the MO number. That is where supply takes over.
Messages and troubleshooting
| Situation | Message | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Unknown article reference | Aucun article trouvé | Check the reference, or create the article in Articles. |
| The Enregistrer button stays greyed out | — | One of the ten required fields is empty. |
| The Gamme opératoire list is empty | — | No routing is attached to a bill of materials for that article. |
| The Atelier or Dépôt des encours list is empty | — | The centre chosen has no warehouse of the required type. |
| The state you want is not offered | — | The transition is not permitted from the current state: see the transition table. |
| A Terminé order can no longer change state | — | Normal behaviour: the state is final. |
| The launch did not disappear after deletion | No message | It has probably already produced movements. |
| The session has expired | Automatic return to the sign-in screen | Sign in again; the entry in progress is lost. |
Known limitations in this version
- No success message confirms that a launch has been saved.
- A failed deletion produces no message.
- No progress booking per operation is possible from this screen: only the order's overall state changes.
- No quantity produced and no quantity scrapped is entered: the quantity launched is the only volume information.
- No workload calculation and no forecast completion date: the delivery date is entered by hand, with no feasibility check.
- The sort arrows in the headers are decorative.
