Machines
Purpose
The Machines module declares the company's production resources: the workshop equipment, with its brand, its model, its serial number and the workshop it belongs to.
The machines declared here then feed the operation routings: each manufacturing step names the machine it runs on.

(on what?) (in what order?) (production)
The module is visible to accounts holding the Production management right.

The machine list
The top bar contains ☰ side menu, 🏠 home, the Filtrer… field, the name of the signed-in account, the language selector and the account menu.
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| Code | The machine code. |
| Désignation | Its name. |
| Marque | The manufacturer's brand. |
| Modéle | The model. |
| Centre | The workshop it belongs to. |
| Action | ✏️ Editer and 🗑️ Supprimer. |
The list shows 50 machines per page, with the pagination controls.
Creating a machine
Click the ➕ button at the top left of the table: the Ajouter nouvelle machine window opens.
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Code | ✔ | The machine code, unique in the workspace. |
| Désignation | ✔ | Its name, the one that will appear in the routings. |
| Atelier | — | The workshop it belongs to. |
| Marque | — | The manufacturer's brand, drawn from Brands. |
| Modéle | — | The model, entered freely. |
| Num. série | — | The equipment's serial number. |
Confirm with the save button at the bottom of the window.
Only the centres whose Atelier de production box is ticked in Sites appear here. If your workshop is not offered, that is the box to tick on its record.
The Marque list is the same as the one on the article record, held in Brands. An equipment brand missing from the catalogue has to be added there first.
It is what will identify the machine in the operation routings and the manufacturing orders. Prefer a name that speaks to the workshop — Presse 80T poste 3 — over a plain number.
Editing a machine
On the row concerned, click the green ✏️ Editer icon: the window opens with the saved values. Adjust, then confirm.
Even when editing, the header shows the creation wording. Go by the content of the fields — if they are pre-filled, you are indeed editing an existing machine, not creating one.
Deleting a machine
The red 🗑️ Supprimer icon is present on every row but triggers no action: no confirmation is displayed and the machine stays in the list.
A machine that is out of service therefore cannot be removed from the application. In the meantime, say so in its designation — Presse 80T (hors service) — to keep it from being assigned to a routing.
Messages and troubleshooting
| Situation | Message | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The code already exists | Article en double, on a red background in the header | Misleading message: it actually reports a duplicate machine. Choose another code. |
| Error while saving | Erreur in the window header | Close, reload the list and try again; contact support if the problem persists. |
| The save button stays greyed out | — | The code or the designation is empty. |
| The workshop you want is not offered | — | Tick Atelier de production on the centre's record, in Sites. |
| The brand you want is not offered | — | Create it in Brands. |
| The Supprimer button does nothing | No message | Normal behaviour in this version. |
| The machine does not appear in a routing | — | Check the workshop it belongs to. |
| The session has expired | Automatic return to the sign-in screen | Sign in again and re-enter the data. |
Known limitations in this version
- The Supprimer button has no effect: no deletion is possible.
- The window title shows "Ajouter nouvelle machine" even when editing.
- The duplicate message reads « Article en double » instead of « Machine en double ».
- No success message confirms the save.
- No notion of availability, capacity or state of the machine: nothing tells a running piece of equipment from one that is stopped.
- No maintenance tracking is attached to the machines.
- The sort arrows in the headers are decorative.
