Operations
Purpose
An operation is an elementary manufacturing step: cutting, bending, welding, painting, inspecting. Each operation is given the machines it can be carried out on.
The operations defined here are then assembled into the operation routings, which describe the complete manufacturing sequence of an article.

The module is visible to accounts holding the Production management right.

The operation list
The top bar contains ☰ side menu, 🏠 home, the Filtrer… field, the name of the signed-in account, the language selector and the account menu.
| Column | Content |
|---|---|
| Code | The operation code. |
| Désignation | Its name. |
| Type | Numérique, Booléen positif or Booléen négatif. |
| Action | ✏️ Editer and 🗑️ Supprimer. |
The list shows 50 operations per page, with the pagination controls.
The operation types
The type describes how the operation is booked in the workshop:
| Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Numérique | The operator enters a quantity completed. |
| Booléen positif | The operation is simply done or not done. |
| Booléen négatif | Same principle, with the logic reversed. |
The column exists and displays the value saved, but the creation and editing window has no type field: only the code, the designation and the machines can be changed there.
An operation created from the application therefore takes the server's default type, and the column may stay empty if no value is set. To fix a type, contact support.
Creating an operation
Click the ➕ button at the top left of the table: the Ajouter opération window opens.
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Code | ✔ | The operation code, unique in the workspace. |
| Désignation | ✔ | Its name, the one that will appear in the routings. |
The Enregistrer button stays inactive until both fields are filled in. The message « Opération créée avec succès » confirms the save.
Operation routings do not allow operations to be ordered. Having the code carry the sequence — 010 Découpe, 020 Pliage, 030 Finition — is the simplest way to make the chain readable within a routing.
Assigning the machines
The Machines utilisées section lists the equipment the operation can be carried out on.
- Click Ajouter: a search field appears.
- Type the code or the name of the machine.
- Click the machine to assign it.
The message « Aucune machine disponible » signals that no match exists. To remove a machine, use the red button on its row.
When no machine is assigned, the section displays « Aucune machine assignée ».
That is the usual case: a cutting operation may be done on several presses. Assign them all — that is what leaves scheduling some room to manoeuvre.
Only the machines declared in Machines are offered. If a piece of equipment is missing, create it first.
Editing an operation
On the row concerned, click the green ✏️ Editer icon: the Modifier opération window opens with the code, the designation and the machines already assigned.
The message « Opération modifiée avec succès » confirms the save.
Editing an operation — in particular removing a machine — does not affect the routings that already use it, nor the manufacturing orders in progress.
Deleting an operation
The red 🗑️ Supprimer icon is present on every row but triggers no action: no confirmation is displayed and the operation stays in the list.
An obsolete operation cannot be removed. Say so in its designation to keep it from being assigned to new routings.
Messages and troubleshooting
| Situation | Message | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Operation saved | Opération créée avec succès / Opération modifiée avec succès | — |
| The code already exists | Erreur : Code opération dupliqué, in place of the window title | Choose another code. |
| The Enregistrer button stays greyed out | — | The code or the designation is empty. |
| Aucune machine disponible | — | Check what you typed, or create the machine in Machines. |
| A machine does not appear in the search | — | It is already assigned to the operation. |
| The Type column is empty | — | No type is saved; it cannot be entered from the application. |
| The Supprimer button does nothing | No message | Normal behaviour in this version. |
| The operation does not appear in a routing | — | It may already be assigned to it: the search excludes operations already present. |
| The session has expired | Automatic return to the sign-in screen | Sign in again; the entry in progress is lost. |
Known limitations in this version
- The operation type is displayed in the list but cannot be entered: the window has no matching field.
- The Supprimer button has no effect: no deletion is possible.
- No standard duration and no set-up time is associated with an operation, which rules out any workload or routing-time calculation.
- No skill and no workstation is attached to an operation.
- The sort arrows in the headers are decorative.
