Stock movements

Purpose

The Stock movements screen is the journal of every flow: each entry, each release, each transfer and each adjustment leaves a trace here, with its date, its article, its warehouse, its quantity and its value.

It is the traceability screen: it answers "where does this quantity come from?" and "what happened to this article this month?".

A journal, not an entry screen

Movements are not created here: they are produced by the other modules — confirming a goods receipt note, confirming a sales order, entering a stock count, transferring between warehouses. This screen views them, filters them and exports them.

Who can access this module?

The module is visible to accounts holding the Stock management right.

Access

  • Menu: Stock management → Stock movements
  • Address: /mouvements-stock
  • Screen title: Mouvements de stock

The screen

It reads top to bottom in four zones: the indicators, the type tabs, the search and action bar, then the movements table.

The indicators

Six cards at the top of the screen present a summary: total movements, entries, releases, transfers, adjustments and active articles.

The indicators display demonstration values

The six cards are hard-coded in this version: 247 mouvements, 98 entrées, 112 sorties, 25 transferts, 12 ajustements, 184 articles sur 312.

These figures never change, whatever your data, your period or your filters. Do not use them: only the table below reflects reality.

The type tabs

A tab bar filters the table by nature of movement:

TabContent
TousAll the movements.
↓ EntréesEntries into stock.
↑ SortiesReleases from stock.
⇄ TransfertsMovements between warehouses.
± AjustementsCorrections arising from stock counts.

The movements table

ColumnContent
N° MouvementThe movement identifier.
DateThe date of the flow.
ArticleThe article reference.
DésignationIts name — hidden on a small screen.
EntrepôtThe warehouse concerned.
TypeEntrée, Sortie, Transfert or Ajustement.
MotifThe origin of the movement — hidden on a small screen.
Réf. OrigineThe document behind the flow.
QuantitéThe quantity moved.
Valeur (MAD)The valuation of the movement.

Where the movements come from

Every row carries a motif that states which module the flow came from:

MotifOriginEffect on stock
VenteConfirmation of a sales orderRelease
RéceptionConfirmation of a goods receipt noteEntry
InventaireStock count entry on an articleAdjustment, one way or the other
TransfertTransfer between warehousesRelease from one warehouse, entry into the other
RetourCredit note with goods returnedEntry
Tracing a movement back to its source

The Réf. Origine column gives the triggering document. A stock discrepancy is diagnosed by spotting the faulty movement here, then opening the corresponding document in its module.

Searching and filtering

The search field covers the article, its reference and the movement number. It fires automatically after you type.

Advanced filters

The Filtres avancés button opens a multi-criteria selection window:

GroupCriteria
PériodeCette semaine / Ce mois shortcuts, or Date début and Date fin.
LocalisationSite(s), Warehouse(s), Zone / Location.
OrigineMotif(s), Operator(s), Supplier, Batch no.
MesureUnit(s), Min and max value in MAD, Min and max quantity.

Confirm with Appliquer les filtres, or reset everything with Réinitialiser.

The active filters then appear as labels, with a Tout effacer button.

The period determines what is loaded

The start and end dates do not filter a table that is already loaded: they are sent to the server to fetch the movements. Widening the period therefore reloads the data; so does narrowing it.

Exporting and printing

ButtonEffect
Export CSVDownloads a mouvements-stock-YYYY-MM-DD.csv file.
🖨️Launches the browser's print dialogue on the view displayed.
The export takes no account of the filters

The CSV file contains all the data loaded, not the selection shown on screen. It has fifteen columns: identifier, date, article, designation, warehouse, zone, type, motif, reference, quantity, unit, unit price, batch, supplier and operator.

The separator is the semicolon, which suits a spreadsheet configured for French.

If the file contains nothing

The message « Aucune donnée à exporter. » signals that the table is empty: widen the period before exporting.

Messages and troubleshooting

SituationMessageWhat to do
The table is empty—Widen the period in the advanced filters.
The indicators do not change—Normal behaviour: they are demonstration values.
An expected movement does not appear—Check the period, then that the source document was indeed confirmed.
The export contains more rows than are displayed—Normal behaviour: the export ignores the filters.
Aucune donnée à exporter.—The table is empty: load some movements first.
A stock count adjustment cannot be found—Filter on the Inventaire motif and the right period.

Known limitations in this version

  • The six indicators display hard-coded values, unrelated to your data.
  • The CSV export ignores the filters and the tabs: it exports everything loaded.
  • No total is displayed at the bottom of the table: neither a quantity total nor a value total.
  • No movement can be corrected or cancelled from this screen: correction goes through a stock count entry or a reverse movement.
  • No detailed movement record: the table is the only view.
