Simple transfer

Purpose

The simple transfer moves a quantity of an article from one warehouse to another, in a single operation. The stock is taken out of the source warehouse and added to the destination warehouse immediately.

It is the method to use when the goods change location with no delay: reorganising a store, helping out between two warehouses of the same site, returning material to the workshop.

When is the two-step transfer preferable?

The simple transfer assumes that departure and arrival are simultaneous. If the goods are in transit — a lorry between two sites, a delay of several hours or several days — use the Two-step transfer instead, which tells dispatch and receipt apart.

The three-step journey

The screen shows your position in the journey at all times:

Step 1 — Entry

The centre

The Centre list filters the warehouses offered next. Leave Tous les centres to transfer between two different sites.

The warehouses concerned

Field	Description
Dépôt source	The warehouse the goods leave from.
Dépôt destination	The warehouse that receives them.

The article to transfer

Enter the article's reference in the search field. The message « Aucun article trouvé pour cette référence. » signals an unknown reference.

Once the article is recognised, the application queries the source warehouse's stock and displays:

Information	Content
Stock disponible	The quantity present in the source warehouse.
Emplacement	The location within the warehouse.
Lot	The batch number, where applicable.

The message « Aucun stock pour cet article dans ce dépôt. » means the source warehouse does not hold this article.

Choose the source warehouse before the article

The stock check applies to the source warehouse selected. If you change warehouse after choosing the article, check that the stock displayed has indeed refreshed.

The quantity

Enter the quantity to move. If it exceeds the stock, the message "Quantité supérieure au stock disponible" appears, along with the maximum possible.

The Vérifier le transfert button only becomes active once five conditions are met:

1. a source warehouse is chosen;
2. a destination warehouse is chosen;
3. an article is recognised;
4. the quantity is filled in and strictly positive;
5. the quantity does not exceed the available stock.

A transfer cannot make stock go negative

Unlike sales orders, where the Autoriser stock négatif setting can lift the check, the simple transfer always caps the quantity at the source warehouse's available stock.

Step 2 — Confirmation

The screen presents the transfer summary: the article, the quantity, the stock remaining after the operation, the two warehouses and the date — Immédiat.

A warning states:

Ce transfert est immédiat et irréversible. Le stock sera mis à jour dans les deux dépôts instantanément.

No cancellation possible

Once confirmed, the transfer is carried out and cannot be cancelled from the application. To correct a mistake, a transfer in the opposite direction has to be made.

Before confirming, read the summary back: it is the last checkpoint, and that is exactly what this step is for.

Step 3 — Success

The screen confirms « Transfert effectué » and « Le stock a été mis à jour dans les deux dépôts. », with the transfer reference, the article, the quantity, the departure and arrival warehouses, and the date.

The Nouveau transfert button resets the screen so you can carry straight on.

Messages and troubleshooting

Situation	Message	What to do
Unknown reference	Aucun article trouvé pour cette référence.	Check the reference, or create the article in Articles.
The source warehouse does not hold the article	Aucun stock pour cet article dans ce dépôt.	Choose another source warehouse.
Quantity too high	Quantité supérieure au stock disponible	Reduce the quantity, or transfer from a better-stocked warehouse.
The Vérifier le transfert button stays greyed out	—	One of the five conditions is not met.
The transfer is refused	Transfert refusé par le serveur.	Check that the stock has not moved in the meantime, then try again.
Unexpected error	Une erreur est survenue.	Try again, then contact support.
Transfer made by mistake	—	Make a transfer in the opposite direction.
The session has expired	Automatic return to the sign-in screen	Sign in again; the entry in progress is lost.

Known limitations in this version

• The transfer covers one article at a time: no multi-line transfer.
• No cancellation is possible; correction goes through a reverse transfer.
• No history of transfers can be viewed from this screen: you have to go through Stock movements.
• No motif and no comment can be attached to the transfer.
• The transfer prints no movement note.
